Artist’s Statement –

Curiosity and creativity are watchwords for me. My photography is most – often inspired by the natural world. My focus is on the intimate and often abstracted image that captures the essence and intricacies of rural and ocean landscapes. I have always had a passion for trees. Recently, I have been reading some wonderful books about conversations between trees and their interdependence. Like icebergs, there is a lot going on beneath the surface. Another of my enduring interests is expressive and abstract imagery. In this collection, I bring together these different approaches to imagine a conversation between trees and other aspects of the natural world to create an alternative story. In an environment of climate change, this seems appropriate.
