Siegfried Blum’s enchanting chalk pastel work captures the natural beauty of Southern Ontario’s fields, forests and sky. His technical dexterity with the medium, which allows for a full colour palette, blends the detail found in a grassy field with the subtle shading found of a cloud-filled sky. Tranquility, contemplation and quiet are the hallmarks of his work.
After arriving in Canada in 1952, Blum began a lengthy career as a graphic artist. During those years he first began to create abstract landscapes. Blum has exhibited in across southern Ontario. His work can be found in private collections in Canada and Germany.
